Investment Attractiveness | 2015 Business & Real Estate Survey Results
In 2015, ROCK Commercial Real Estate conducted their fourth annual Business & Real Estate Survey to help gauge the communities' opinions of the local economic climates. The surveys were distributed in both Lancaster and York Counties and focused on an array of different questions surrounding business and real estate. One question asked participants to rank a series of property types by their "attractiveness as investments" on a scale of 1 through 5 (1 being the worst and 5 being the best). Results from both counties show suburban multi-family residential being the highest ranked investment type. The largest and most interesting difference between the two counties was the ranking of urban multi-family properties. While in Lancaster County this is ranked as the second highest investment property type, the same is not true in York County. York County results placed this property type at the bottom of the list with an overall average ranking of 2.8.
