According to statistics released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics for the Warehousing and Storage subsector, in December of 2014 total employment in the United States equated to 746,600 (2.8% increase over the same month in 2013.) The November 2014 average earnings for employees in the Warehousing and Storage subsector were $18.34 per hour. These employees worked an average of 41.4 hours per week.

The Warehousing and Storage subsector is part of the Transportation and Warehousing sector. These industries are primarily engaged in operating warehousing and storage facilities for general merchandise, refrigerated goods, and other warehouse products.
